Today I’m sharing 10 back to school teacher gift ideas that are perfect for the new school year. So since my life is quickly filling with school related tasks I am going to be sharing some of them with you. Don’t worry, not the boring ones, just the crafty ones! In this case, since it is teacher appreciation week, we as a PTSA wanted to give our teachers a fun little gift on a small budget. I saw THIS project and it launched my creative process. I had my sweet friend TJ from Sweet Sugar Blossoms made this great printable.

So many fun colors to choose from and they even have new neon colors. Though I am very involved in my children’s education, I’m not the teacher.
Line up your paper on the edge of your cutter but I always like to leave a little of paper on the edge before I completely chop it off. There is nothing like cutting too much of anything off…fabric, hair, paper. So I err on the side of safety but doing multiple cuts until it’s perfect. In the end, your gift will look more professional and that will go a long ways.

Here is what I am putting in each teacher’s mailbox today. And since the gift tags PDF comes with so many cute tag options, you can create your gifts with other types of markers or highlighters as well! If I had to name two greatest mysteries in this world, they would be the disappearances of bobby pins and markers. It doesn’t matter how many you buy, they will always find a way to vanish. So for that reason alone, I refuse to pay full price for anything that I will most likely lose within months weeks of buying. I find it funny how I can manage to keep track of things from 10 years ago, but a marker that I just got last week is too much to handle.

My role is to be their learning coach, in which I support them through their lessons and ensure they do physical activity. That’s why we were so excited to meet the kid’s teachers in person at the school’s recent open house. To express our appreciation, I made some quick Sharpie® teacher gifts for the kids to give their teachers . Today, I’m sharing a quick tutorial on making your own. If you’re trying to choose between doing a crafty gift versus something more practical for you kids teachers this year, you don’t have to choose! Grab a handful of school supplies, then make your own gift box to put them it. I promise, any teacher would love to get a gift box (that you made!) filled with supplies. Now, we know there are a ton of really cute DIY teacher gift ideas on Pinterest. The problem with a lot of them, though, is that most teachers wouldn’t actually know what to do with a lot of those really cute homemade gifts.
Coming from a big family, we were usually allowed one “fun” folder (hello, Lisa Frank!) and then the rest of the folders were generic 10 cent ones from Staples . Now that I live less than 5 minutes from that dream land, I get most of my business & office supplies from there. Believe it or not, all the hand lettering I do for my shop is done with markers I get at Staples.
This simple gift from The Suburban Mom is perfectly simple, with just the cute printable and a few Sharpie markers. You can add a hand-written message on the back to personalize it a bit more. All you need are some trendy notepads and pencils, plus the free printable from Whipperberry, and you’ve got a great, simple, gift for your new teacher.

By the time the kids are back in school, the teachers have already spent hours getting everything ready for their classroom. Not to mention spending their own money on classroom supplies. I think a back to school gift for teachers is a very thoughtful way to start off the year.
Many sellers on Etsy offer personalized, made-to-order items. Shipping policies vary, but many of our sellers offer free shipping when you purchase from them. Typically, orders of $35 USD or more qualify for free standard shipping from participating Etsy sellers. Children can add a personalized touch by coloring in the printable. When I was a little girl, we started school after Labor Day.
Teacher Appreciation Week is quickly approaching. For instance, one day, the theme is flowers; one day, the theme is a pampering item; one day, the theme is school supplies, and so on. Teachers often spend money out of their own pocket for school and classroom supplies and are not always appreciated for how much they do for our children. We’ve had some amazing teachers through the years who went above and beyond to help my children, especially when they were struggling with an assignment. Each year I try to send in a small gift for each of the teachers to help with the classroom, it could be a small basket of supplies, wipes, or an extra box of tissues.
